Children’s Water Can Recalled at Joann Fabrics

Published by Mommy Zabs at 11:27 am under Toys, Lead, Recall

Complete coincidence, but I went shopping for fabric at Joann etc. this morning after I dropped my oldest off at preschool. Of course every fabric I loved was Made in China so it promptly went back on the shelf. After about 20 rounds of this ritual I found the sales lady in the next row and asked her if they had any fabric not made in China (I did not want to waste my time looking if the answer was no.) She made it quite apparent that the question annoyed here (which I’m needing to get used to!) and answered, “Of COURSE we have fabric from everywhere.” I kindly asked her to point me in the right direction and she once again made sure I could tell how annoyed she was. People like that really need to mind their own business!

What I didn’t realize is Joann’s just had a recall on a China product, so maybe she considered me a person over-reacting to Joannes and not wanting their China product as a result. Oh well. She can think what she wants, although I would rather her ask.

Went to Jo-Ann’s today for fleece. About half of it was made in China, the other half in Taiwan. Is that better?

It is our buying power which the Chinese must fear. They produce inferior trash then we as smart informed consumers can chose to spend our money elsewhere. This is not a boycott for anti-Chinese or racial reasons but purely the right of informed citizens to make safe choices. Live China Free!
