I'm not very economics-savvy, but I remember learning in my comparative government classes that manufacturing (aka making the products that China and a lot of developing countries are making) is a key part of economic development. I guess the US and UK and such went through the industrial revolution so long ago, we're more technology oriented in our job market. So, that said, I'm not completely against making products that aren't made in the USA. I just wish their labor conditions were better and that their products were guaranteed to be safer. I think boycotting China is a great start because that way we can impact one country and perhaps inspire the rest to change as well. Who knows?
