		<description>Not sure if this is a feasible option, but we have the old-style little people.  I got them at a garage sale, I think.  You can find them on ebay.  I realize, though, that these may be a choking hazard.  I believe they were US-made.  These are the really small ones..they kind of all have the same faces, boy, girl, mom, dad, farmer, etc.</description>

		<description>although i don't think i can make myself get rid of what little people stuff we have, i am so sad not to buy it again :(

at work, we use a lot of games by Ravensburger.  we love the variety of games they have and it looks like there are some new toys out for younger kids.</description>

		<description>Nope. I know my kids love Playmobil. And it's not made in China, so that's a big plus. I know of no made-in-USA alternatives that are close.</description>
