Dear Donna S. Fernandez

Published by Mommy Zabs under Activism, Boycott

Dear Donna S. Fernandez, (wherever you are.)

I happened upon an article you wrote in October of 1996. This Article explaining why you and yours have been boycotting china for 3 years absolutely blew me away. I felt as if I could have written it. A few months ago, I started the same journey.

While my children aren’t quite as old, I too will need to explain why there are so many toys they can not have. I too had broken heart when I realized the abuses going on in China, and our nations indirect contribution to them. I too know what it feels like to get blank, awkward stares when I tell people I have decided not to buy “Made In China”.

You Can Help!- Tagging At Amazon

Published by Mommy Zabs under Activism, Boycott

What a great week of firsts! I have already met so many great people and read so many great blogs through this site! And now Not China Made is having its very first GUEST POST! Thank you Robert for coming up with this idea and inviting people to get in the game with you!

Tagging at Amazon- By Robert.

Because more and more people are shopping online, it is difficult to tell where
a product is made. In a store you can (usually) pick up a box and see where
it’s from. Kinda hard to do that over the net!

Well, Amazon has a “tagging” feature. If you are an Amazon customer ( that is,
if you have signed up for an Amazon account )
you can “tag” items.

By tagging items you can help others see where products are made, and make an informed choice.

If you have bought an item over Amazon and you found out that it is made in
China, go to the product page on Amazon. Scroll down the page and you will
find a section on tagging. there will be a small text box for you to enter
your tag. Please enter the text,

made in communist china

and then click on ADD.

If you have a product that you know is made in China, even if you didn’t buy it
off of Amazon, you can still tag it as long as you have an account. ( You can
sign up for an account without actually buying anything )

If you have any questions, you can write me at boycottchina1@gmail.com BUT you
have to put the words “Boycott China” in the *subject line* of the email, or
else it will be automatically thrown away by my spam filters.

Thanks for helping!

Robert
